Comparative study completed on EnviroLoc 180C™ versus Traditional Liner such as High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
The EnviroLoc 180CTM Spray on System creates a monolithic containment liner eliminating several of the major concerns of a traditional sheet liner system. Special attention is required when using a traditional liner system; the two highest failure points are the seams and around the pipe and piling penetrations. These areas are not a concern for EnviroLoc 180CTM Secondary Containment System; all of the joints chemically bond together creating one continuous monolithic liner and all penetrations are encapsulated to ensure there is no leakage.
Combine this with elongation capabilities to handle freeze and thaw cycles you can easily imagine the benefits of being able to provide a complete monolithic containment system without any seams or pipe collars regardless the size of the project or the number/type of penetrations.
The EnviroLoc 180CTM was designed for use in immersion or atmospheric exposure as a tough, flexible, impact and chemical resistant liner system. Its ability to withstand both extremely low (-85°F/-65°C) and high temperatures (450°F/232°C) makes this an ideal system for the harshest and most unforgiving environments.
Due to the nature of EnviroLoc 180CTM, it will ignore humidity, damp and/or cold surface conditions with minimal affect on the tack free times. High wind conditions also have very little impact on the application process (40-50Km/Hr).
If additional chemical resistance is needed, EnviroLoc 180CTM can be top coated with a wide variety of chemical and solvent resitant coatings. No traditional liner system can provide this type of service.
EnviroLoc 180CTM advanced UV stability does not require the costly application of soil protection that the traditional liner systems require, enabling maximum flexibility in the design of your projects and reducing construction down time. It also provides easy leak detection of all piping, vessels or tanks. In the event of a leak or spill you do have the costly soil remediation creating potential damage to the liner during cleanup, with EnviroLoc 180CTM you just have a simple clean up of the liner.
EnviroLoc 180CTM meets but in most cases exceeds the general requirements for ULC/ORD-58.9 the CCME Enviromental Code of Practice for aboveground Storage Tank Systems Containing Petroleum Products (Section 3.7/3(1)).
Another important feature of EnviroLoc 180CTM is that the system is self-extinguishing. When the direct flame source is removed, the system will not support combustion and the flames will extinguish. It is also USDA approved for incidental food contact and is approved for potable water meeting NSF 100 standard.
